The 1950s and 1960s saw a boom in racing transporters, and their status is still in the spotlight today. The two similar looking haulers, the Cadillac Ferrari and the Maserati, are probably the best known and most technically mature haulers of their time. These sports cars were loaded on the 642 RN2 Fiat chassis.
The open-body transporter designed by Bartoletti can carry three sports cars. At first glance, the two transporters, with their 92-horsepower diesel inline engines, look alike in everything but paint and trim. But on closer inspection, they are quite different in many subtle ways.
