Product Description
In addition to CMC's 300S standard version (product number: M-105), CMC also provides a racing limited edition of this model for motorsport enthusiasts.
One of the highlights of the 300 S with chassis number 3066 (later adapted to 3056) was of course its participation in the 24 Hours of France on June 22, 1958. In this race, its car number 1 was driven by Francisco Godia-Sales with Joakim Bonnier as the co-driver. Before the 142nd lap, it was very promising to go straight to the championship, but to the surprise of the driver and the whole team, this The car came to an abrupt halt and died prematurely. Circuit problems cost it the easy title.
The CMC model reproduces the style of the racing car in the 1958 French 24-hour endurance race in La Sarthe (la Sarthe, France). It is worth noting that there were no head restraints until a few years later. The model also added a head cover for the co-pilot.
According to the rules of the competition and the requirements of the special race, the original car should be equipped with additional headlights, a different exhaust pipe system, wipers on the driver's windshield, reinforced tires, and several lights. We strictly follow these requirements to create these special limited edition car models.
This model is composed of 1926 parts, assembled by hand, and is limited to 3000 pieces worldwide.
